Winter leagues about to start again.
Well it is that time of year again when winter leagues are about to start. At this time I am only planning on bowling in 2 leagues for the fall season. I would bowl every night if funding was not an issue. Well I will sub as much as possible. Over the summer my average dropped several pins. I could blame my elbow injury on it but I am not sure that is the reason.
Elbow injury: It is always swellon and always hurts when touched or put any kind of pressure on it. I should probally stop bowling for at least a few weeks and see if it heals up any faster but that would mean no bowling. I guess you could say I am one of those types that if I had 2 broken legs and a broken arm I would still try and bowl (even if it meant bowling with the wrong arm).
I will try and do updates at least once a week but you never know. Hope to here from other people (especially if you live any where near Manassas, Virginia).

Summer season?
Well summer season is upon us for some leagues of course. Last night being my first monday night for summer leagues turned out most spectacular. I started out by throwing 4 huge splits in the first game for 160 and then changed hand positions and shot 225 second game. Low and behold 3rd game was my second 300 for a 685 set. I was extactic. Just about a month after I shoot my first I hit my second.
Well nationals are in 10 days so i am hoping i can do some good there. Cross your fingers for me.
High Scores for tournament sqaud
205, 190, 187
Have you ever rolled in a tournament that had zero oil? Worst conditions I have ever bowled on.
I now have and let me tell you what, if you don't have a spare ball that you can actually throw straight up with no revs then you are not going to score. I tried using everyball I had and a few other peoples balls too. Every one of them was missing left or if you could get it down the lane far enough lose all energy and roll out leaving big splits.
Let me tell you about the high scores for my sqaud, these are not my scores but high for the entire sqaud. 1st game = 205, 2nd game 190, 3rd game 187. Now about the people in these sqauds. There were of coarse lower average bowlers there but I know of at least 5-230 average bowlers that were in this sqaud. Also 20 or more 220 average, 50 or more 200+ average bowlers.
Now tell me if you can when you have seen this many bowlers in a tournament and only have 2 people shoot a 200 game throughout the entire tournament. I leave it to you to prove to me that these were not the worst conditions of a tournament.
777 (not a slot machine winner)
Well I bowled my best set of this season last night, a 777. Games were 244, 266, 267. I was rolling the ball well all night but did have a few that I just did not get off my hand correctly. This could have been easily a 800 but I am not disappointed in the least because I know I have the potential to shoot one. The key is keeping it all together, and some day I will do that.
